Why didn't C3PO or R2D2 tell Luke that Anakin Skywalker was really Darth Vader? The robots were present in all 3 prequals. If they were re-programmed NOT to know who re-programmed them.

Thanks I hope you all get women soon

They got mind-wipes several times. Droids need mind-wipes as part of their maintenance to supress their adaptive programming from developing erratic elements. R2-D2 was not wiped though, and remains a mystery. No one knows what lurks in those circuits, after all, he recognized Obi-Wan. Most likely he was prograamed not to reveal certain secrets, or he chose that certain information could only be revealed at the right time, like after Vader was killed.

Why insult people when you're asking a question? Doesn't seem right. And I am a WOMAN, by the way.

Anyways. If you didn't see the first three, at some point in the beginning/before the middle of the fourth one, the original, we learn R2D2's memory never was wiped, because he remembers Obi-Wan. Only C3PO gets his memory wiped, which is why he never tells Luke anything that R2D2 says.. cause he just assumes its a hallucination or something.

R2-D2 Is considered by most of the characters (and fans) to be the more intelligent of the two droids. He was intrusted with Leia's stolen plans for the Death Star, he was Anakin's astromech droid (highly upgraded by Anakin as well), and also was also one of the few characters there from the beginning. R2 nor 3PO had knowledge of Vader being Anakin. Obi_Wan did not find out until the end of the book "Dark Lord." But with R2 being a more trustworthy being then his counterpart, he probably knew he HAD to keep the secret of who Luke and Leia were until a time when there would be no danger for the 'New Hope.'

Man, why does no one ever pay attention in the theather during movies, geeks please anyone that can sit in a movie and stay off their cellphones or keep their head out of someone's lap could answer this. At the end of Episode III Revenge of the Sith Senator Bail Organa has C3PO's memory erased. Since he is the only droid that can be understood in voice cause he can speak when this is done no one knows the truth by the time Luke begans his quest to become a Jedi. Hope we all get women soon that is cute and original, who writes your material?

Luke Never asked and maybe the same reason Obi-Wan didn't tell Luke the truth and maybe because Luke can't understand what R2D2 is saying and maybe because C3Po is stupid and can't remember and never actually saw Anikin being put into the vader suit

c3-po undergoes a memory wipe at the end of episode 3 and most liklly R2 does as well. And even if he does not serten things get lost after a while. also remember R2 is not around anakin when he turns to the dark side and his fall is never discused in his pressence so he might not know.

The droids' memories were wiped at the end of the "3rd" prequel, Episode 3 :Revenge Of The Sith.

This was also rumoured before the 3 prequels came out.

And by the way, I have been married for a few years now.

Cheers
