Its too late to change things before school starts but you can help it once school starts.
Make sure you concentrate in class and just try your hardest. Ask your teacher for help if you need it and make sure you do your homework when you get. Also if you are behind try to catch up at home.

you should have used your summer vacation to brush-up on your math skills. Math is cumulative: You've been studying it since kindergarten. It is assumed that if you passed 7th grade, you have enough knowledge to understand 8th grade math.
If there are holes in your math skills, you will continue to fall into these holes until the holes are filled. Bottom line, you can't fix it in 5 days. You should have been responsible enough to begin fixing it 5 days after school was out, BUT you didn't want to wreck your summer vacation. All actions and decisions have consequences, my friend. The sooner you recognize that YOU are the only one in control of your destiny the sooner you can begin to progress.

It's too late to learn everything before school. I suggest cracking a math book or looking on the internet for some practice questions on subjects you know, to review and get back into the swing of things. Then, once school starts, just do all of your homework. Go for extra help if you don't do well on exams.

It's a good math lesson in life. You had all summer to work on this (about 90 days) and now you have only 5. Which was more?

do some questions from maths textbooks from library or you can buy em from the bookshop. For the topics that u r not good at, do the same sort of questions over and over again until u understand.
Good luck!! :D

when school starts, tell your teacher that math isn't one of your strongest areas. Then ask if she would be willing to help you understand it a bit better....they usually say yes, but if they don't, find someone who will...like a tutor.

Try getting a tutor to help you in the problems you do at school, PRACTICE the SUMS OVER and OVER till you understand them. You cannot memorize the problems and sums. Understand the formulae, you can memorize these, its a must. They will help you in problems relating to geometry. KEEP CONFIDENCE IN YOURSELF.

You go to school to learn! My advice is to brush up on what you've already been taught, then anything you're really unsure of, ask your new teacher when you get back. :) Good luck!
