No question about it 80's!!! Music was actually original (well mostly except for songs and style they stole from the generations before them). :)
The metal and especially the 'punk' was made not for money but for passion and the pure drive not wanting to do anything else but play music. Now 'punk' or metal are as main stream as britney and friends.

all music is great and i think in order to choose what you like best it mostly turns out to be the eras you grew up with and remember the most. I love all music but the 80's is my favourite. Bon mmMMmm Jovi, g-n-r, poison, metallica, white snake, blondie, skid row, madonna etc. Today most of the are still popular and the best!

I hate both but if I had to choose I guess 80's I grew up in that era.
