There really isn't anything to say. An exam is a personal thing to determine whether or not you mastered the information. You really have nothing to explain to your friend nor does he have a duty to apologize for his success.

I think I would express my surprise to my friend.
I would then make an appointment with my course tutor to find out why I had failed and what I could do to improve my grade when I retook the exam.
I think part of the problem might be your level of English. May I suggest that you take some English lessons to give you better writing skills. I don't mean to be rude, just give some friendly advice.

I would be talking to the teacher about it, not my friend. If you think the paper was well written and saw no reason for it to fail, then the teacher would be the first person to see about it!
