Do you mean for religious reasons? Talk to your religious leader about any exceptions that allow for pregnancy and talk to your doctor about them, too. You might be surprised that the fasting rules are not as strict as you think. I know I was when I learned that Catholics don't actually starve themselves during Lent.

Not if you don't want complications for the baby. The first trimester the organs are being developed. With out proper nutrition there could be problems. Some of these deficiencies may not be obvious at birth but they will develop later.
The next two trimesters are also key in the development of a healthy infant.
Don't fast or diet during pregnancy. The long term risks to your child are not worth it. There is a reason they give prenatal vitamins to pregnant women.

During pregnancy your baby requires all the nutrients it can get. Indeed, healthy eating is advised as it is the baby who will get the nutrients thereof. Therefore it is advisable not to fast during pregnancy. During this period, your baby is paramount.

I tried to look it up in my pregnancy bible, and I don't see anything in there about it...I don't think it would be a good thing to do by my best suggestion would be to call your doctor...I am going to assume you are doing this for religious reasons....
