if u new someone who u were friends with and u find out later on in the relationship that he was in prison 5 years he doesnt tell u what happened what would u think happened?
mind u we are not friends anymore
but curious what would someone had to do to be put in prison for 5 years than a halfway house

well in todays society you can be put in jail for most anything and if he didnt have a lawyer then he probably got way over punished. could have been for drunk driving or child support . or even jay walking if hes in my town..LOL i hope i helped.

But he did eventually tell you right? perhaps it was a bet difficult for him to tell you about his past since it was difficult for him even thinking about it! only because he didnt tell you right away doesnt mean you should not be his friend! he wanted you to know him first before you judge him and it would be much more easier for him to tell you after you both have a strong bond cz he knows u'd understand that is not the person who is reallty was back then or he just made a mistake...etc.

If they are out of prison they have done their time for the crime just leave them alone. If they classed you as a true friend they will tell you eventually.

NOT SURE WHY HE WAS IN PRISON BUT I THINK HE SHOULD TELL YOU AND THEN IF HES NOT IN THE SAME LIFE STYLE YOU SHOULD LET HIS PAST BE HIS I HAVE A SISTER IN PRISON B/C HER BOYR FRIEND WAS SELLING DURG AND USED HER CAR SHE WAS GUILTY B/C THEY LIVED TOGEATHER ISNOT VER YFAIR ALL SHE REALLY WAS GUILTY OF WAS BEING STUPID! NOW SHES GOT 5 YRSBUT SHE IS ON THE RIGHT TRACK NOW SHE IS GOING TO BIBLE SCOOL THERE AND IS GONNA BE A PREACHER

my candid opinion is that you're not truly friends in the first place.
2. anything would've happened that warranted his imprisonment,
3.he may have committed an offence whose sentence is not less than 5yrs imprisonment.

Could have been anything. Nowadays they give such lenient sentences for the most heinous of crimes depending on the state you live in.

maybe he was afraid you would not want to talk to him if you found out.Could be quite a few reasons hes was there 5 yrs and a halfway house.
