My friend had a dream about her ex. In real life, her ex is trying to get back together with her, & is constantly trying to show her so eg. quitting smoking altogether, washing & folding her clothes, even though she doesnt live there anymore, Calling all the time...
Can anyone help with what this might mean? She feels its wierd because she doesnt usually have dreams like this..

In her dream they went away on a holiday in the Daintree Rainforrest & were in their apartment building, but not enjoying each others company at all.
She feels like she is chasing him but he was trying to get away without saying so, but showing by actions eg. wanting to be alone, go out alone, yelling alot. Then his mates come & all start ganging up on her, eg. calling her ball breaker.
The dream ends with her stealing a car, his car & heading home alone, & broken hearted but not surprised...

It seems deep down inside she would be in paradise once again if she got back with her ex, and she's reflecting on the life she had with him before they broke up. When she chases him it seems like she has a fear he may do the same actions by running away from her, stealing his car, and him cheating on her. If thats what happened b4 they broke up according to the dream. I read a book and it told me most dreams are to get your insecurities, fears, and feelings in general out in the open to keep you from being stressed. Some, but few predict the future. Dreaming of ex could mean two things.
1. She is missing him. I don't think that is the case
2. She is not content with her life and has guilt conscience
Most likely it is the second one because at the end she ended up stealing a car. That suggests a regret and guilty feeling of her. She projected all these good thing happened in the past. That symbolized something she has missed. She may not be content with her current relationship if any. And there may be something she feels guilty about. That is why subconsciously she found the picture of the ex in her mind in the dream

A part of her is unwillling to let go of him, and the dream just showed her a projection into the future, in which she comes back home realising that she knew better, that she already has the wisdom to understand the answers to her present problems she just doesn't trust her judgement as much as she should have been.
She can save herself from lot of trouble if she doesn't venture into this relationship which really is like deep and dark rainforest where she get overwhelmed so often and gets ganged up against and blamed for standing up for herself, she knows better now that she is out of it. Stay out!

quite likely it doesn't mean anything. a lot of times when we dream it's just our brain sorting out the days activities, fears, hopes, ambitions. you said that in real life he still tries to get her back, and i'm sure that plays on her mind a lot. it's only natural she'd dream about it. perhaps in the dream with the vacation she's trying to realize the good parts of the relationship, but how the dream ended up might be how their relationship ended, or how she fears it would end if she gave him another chance.

Maybe it's time for her to move on, and find someone new to start a new,and better life with. He's obviously did something to loose her so he should stay gone. I think her dream means that deep down on the inside she doesn't want to be with him.

She does not feel like his efforts are genuine. In her conscious mind she might want him to be sincere about getting back together but her unconscious mind is telling her it will never work and if she even tried it would be a disaster. Very simple and straightforward dream. Take care.

her dream is probably trying to tell her that she will still end up crushed in the end if she gets back with her ex. she doesnt want him but he wants her (in real life), he is doing the chasing and her inner voice knows what ever broke them up still exists and will never go away. if they got back together, in the long run he would resent her for making him change (even though he did this on his own). let your friend know that it is okay to do a lot of talking (months or years) before thinking about any future with this man. if he loves her he will stay and not complain about how much talking is going on. wish her luck for me.

Don't worry too much about this dream! While sleeping the brain sort (try to make sense of) packs and stores data , her brain is simply trying to figure out her true emotions, maybe they might even go to the forest together as his last minute attempt to save the relationship but him trying to sty away from her is what SHE really wants. you see why her brain is confused as to where to store and how next to try and let him just give up?!... I hope she does what she thinks is best, you are a great friend to her , help her realize that the dream isn't of the something that is goiing to happen its just trying to figure out how to loose the boyfriend!
