yesterday i was at my grandpas and my uncle went on bitching about how i was to young for a cell phone and had no reson to have on..i have a job and pay for it myself..do you think im wrong fro being angry?..or do you think he is right?..i dont care eaither way..bc hes stupid..i just want ur opinons?..would u let ur 17 y/o have one?..i reakky just want opinons lol

If you are paying for it yourself it shows responsibility. If you have a car I suggest that every teen should have a phone.
You have a job and you seem to be doing well. Generations will always be out of touch it's just another example.

If you pay for your phone with our own money then why shouldn't you have one? I think mobile phones can be very useful if you get caught out in an emergency or if you need to change your plans, you can let people know.
Your uncle might not like it because he doesn't feel that new technology is necessary and it is unfamiliar and alien to him. He may also regret that you are growing up because he liked having a child around and the mobile phone is a sign that you are becoming an adult.
Try to see it from his point of view. Turn your phone off when he is around out of respect and don't flash it because it will annoy him. Just try to avoid the subject and talk about something else.

Having a cell phone is fairly commonplace in todays society. I think you need a cell phone for safety, as well as its just nice to be able to communicate with your family and friends. Sure a cell phone can be used for negative things as well, but you could still do bad things without a cell. So yes, having a cell phone is fine, especially if you are paying for it.

you should get a cell if you want ,I'm younger then you and i got 1 ,I even pay for it my self just after a while you ll probably want to change but after awhile if u start changing to much it starts getting expensive and also if you talk to much on your phone!
