Your friend has just returned you the book which you like best and always keep it carefully after 1 month borrowing it. You look at the book and find the cover page was scratched. What would you say?

I wouldn't say anything.
But soon I'd borrow a nice old book from him and come all over the epilogue pages.

Depends on how "scratched" the book is. If this friend is one who doesnt always take care of other people's belongings, Id be like, what's up with that? And tell her how I felt. But you are responsible for lending that book out. You should pick and choose who you lend things out too. Don't let this friend borrow anything else. When she asks why, tell her why.

I really wouldn't care. It's only the cover that's scratched, the book has not been willfully vandalised so that's fine.

The fact that my friend had taken the time to read my favourite book and the friendship would be far more important to me than minor damage to a material possession.

Accidents happen, a few scratches give the book a well loved look and that's more important than having it look pristene and new.

However I'd also say to her/him so what happened with the book, cat get at it ?

Not much, I would just not lend anything that important again. Some people just do not understand the value of someone elses things. They may not have even noticed it to them it was just a book,I have had lots of lessons like that. Learn from it and forget it if they are a friend it was not intentional,
Hope that helps ~A~

I wouldn't say anything more than likely. I mean it is just a scratch on a book.

that has happened to me before so i no how u feel. the thing is if u keep quite its going to eat u up so the best way is to tel him how u feel! tel ur friend how much that book meant to u and how much it hurts u to see it in that condition.next time give it to him with the condition that it should be brought back in the condition it was in or its the last time you do him that favour!

Nothing, Even if it is a book I value, I value my friends more, but I wouldn't lend a book to them again! And if they asked why, I would tell them, without being abusive.

I wouldn't really care, all my books look like they've read...because they have been...A book cover should show that the reader has enjoyed it or what's the point...

I would say "Why did you do like that? You know that it is my favourite book know? I am not going to talk to you for 1 month!"
