Well being that Milwaukee is a Beer town, I reccommend the Milwaukee Ale House. Beer is fantastic and the food is awesome. I wouldn't classify it as upscale, but it certainly rivals the upscale places with better prices. The Milwaukee Chophouse is also a good bet along with Sanfords.

I travel quite a bit, and generally look up the restaurants
on the Yahoo site. They are rated by locals and I have found
them to be VERY accurate.
Just find the rating by searching Milwaukee.
I am very pleased with the results.

They have upscale restaurants there? I was under the impression that Wendy's would be the best place to eat.
