shadowcat, Phasing, water?

I have a queston about the X-man shadowcat (kitty pryde), what happens when she phases through water?

she can phase through air and walk on it so I suppose that she can phase through water the same way. Her body still needs air while she is phasing, so she cant stay in water for long. Supposedly she can breath air if she is phasing through it. Never understood that aspect of her power though.

I've wondered the same thing about Shadowcat not falling to the center of the earth. The fact that she doesn't suggests that she's not affected by gravity while she's phasing. But if that were true, then she could levitate/fly while phasing, too, but writers never show her doing that. What gives?

No reason why she can't phase through water. What I want to know is, why she doesn't just sink down to the center of the earth!

She can phase through water. I do not how she breathes when she phases through material that does not allow air in. Or how she breathes and process solid air molecules when she is phased???

well what actually happens when she phases through solid objects? if she passes between the molecules then it would be easyer through liqids or gasses because their molecules are father apart

When he's phasing I don't think it matters if the substance is liquid or solid....

same thing as everything else. the only thing is if she re-materializes in the watter then her body will incorperate the extra watter into herself. the big one is if she does that in salt watter, shed be f*cked.
