there arent very many black people in russia. most of those who live there just study or work there, but were not born there and dont really consider themselves russian. there are many people living in russia from places like azerbajan and other muslim countries that do have slightly darker skin, so maybe some people confuse black people with them. for more info trying searching on google.com

There are some black people in Russia. They are mostly those who come to study in Russia from Africa, some of them choose to stay afterwards. However, they mainly live in big cities like Moscow and St. Petersburg. Small towns would very likely have no black residents.

My husband is Russian and he said there is. I guess back in the cold war some people came from various African countries and some of the local women were curious about them and in the next few years a lot of little black babies were born but because they were raised by Russian families they just consider themselves Russian not African-Russian or some thing like that. Also now there are a lot of people from the Middle east and Africa who are going to Moscow to work.

Well it depends on the city.
Most of the black people who are in Russia are students of the universities in Russia. So in Fact in Moscow or St Peterburg you can meet pretty many of them.
In small poor cities may be not at all..

Most of them are descendants of Africans who came to Russia at various times. Famous Russian poet Pushkin was one of them.

There is a small group of black native people in Caucacus mountains (in Abkhasia). I have read about it in different sources, including "Sandro from Chegem" by Iskander (if you find and English translation - I strongly ercommend it, although it's not about these black people)

There are not too many black people in Russia. Most of them are students and Russian society unfortunately is racist in larger cities, so they normally do not stick around. Especially guys younger age get jelous over the girls and it leads to all sorts of conflicts.
