Sure, avoiding taking a decision is a decision to accept anybody else’s will. It is an easy way to keep on behaving as a child and afterwards to complain because of the miserable life they "had" to accept.
This is valid for our occidental culture.
I wonder how it would be to be born in a place where many people are already " married" at 7 years, and just waiting till the little girl has the first period in order to declare her " a woman " and then celebrate a wedding with the participation of all the town and no one person who disagrees with the tradition. That still happens in India, and keeps on happening in other cultures, even living in other countries “just waiting till the law allows them to keep their traditions"
In the past people had news from their own town, now we have access to judge other cultures without being able to understand the reasons. I do not agree with the female degradation, but I wonder what is worst, if getting married against your will or ending up dancing on a pole to feed your kids because your man just abandoned us and our children.
As you can imagine at this point, we do not have it easy not anywhere in the world. Pretending being sexy all the time is as artificial as pretending being always just a household useful while pretty and young.
Avoiding a decision is a decision, indeed.
