Yes, contact your local housing authorities. Explain the situation, if they cannot do anything, insist that they give you information on the correct department to call.

I went through a similar situation with one of my neighbors.

Call The town inspector. Every town has one. They are forcing are landlords to fix the rotting fence and bottom of the porch where out door cats crap. I am so glad that they are forcing them to do it and we still get the house at the same price. Look in the phone book. Plus once a month they have a town board meeting for all house owners to speak their mind.

well contact your local council and tell them, you could try asking him urself but that depends on what your neighbour is like. if both of these do not suceed and it is only the smell that is effecting you then perhaps buying some really powerful smelling plants and putting them where he puts his rubbish then it may cover the smell but im sure dumping your rubbish like that is illegal because it will attract vermine like rats and mice, so contact your local council. be persistant dont just give up and if they say they will get back to you make sure they do! all the best

This is a health hazzard and will attract vermin. Your local Environmental Offoicer will be able to serve a notice on him. Contact your local Council first tomorrow.

It's a PUBLIC HEALTH HAZARD. He should be reported to the Environmental Health Department, which you will find at your local council offices. They will send someone out to him. You can remain anonymous.

If it is uncooked food like potatoe peel, it is allowed as he can say it is a compost heap, but it really should be covered. Cooked food should not be outside. Environmental health are the people to ask.

You should try speaking to him about it and explain the health issues. If he's not interested then you need to phone your local council immediately, he is just harbouring a vermin problem. This is total anti social behaviour.

First, try talking to him - ask if he wants a hand shifting it or something like that.

Depending on his reaction, then you may need to let him know that you will inform Environmental Health, because yet - they can help.

He's your neighbour - you've got to try communication first otherwise you relationship may plummet.
