I married my best friend 10 years ago because I was ready to settle down, stop the "dating", start a family, and most of all let my roots grow somewhere! BUT I married a man who believes we are equal...in all areas, we both contribute financially to the family, we both do chores, we both work, we both raise the kids, we both cook-clean-drive-volunteer at the schools, we do it all TOGETHER! We were and are aware that this relationship will require a lot of hard work and because of all of these things....and forgive me if this sounds backwards.....but I have really and TRULY fallen in love with my husband again! Plus, the sex is GREAT!

I don't think of my marriage as a deal . I didn't have selfish motives of what I could gain from it. We married each other because we were and still are deeply in love. He is my soul mate and I am his. We have went through both good and bad times for 25 years, always side by side. He takes care of me and I take care of him. We both agree we can't imagine life without the other. We are 2 parts that make one. Marriage isn't what you can gain but what you can give. Enjoying the good and learning from the bad. It is a union of 2 hearts and the greatest thing in the world if you marry the right person. I was fortunate enough to have done that.

A life partner to know fully, rather than just someone for the weekend. Respect, love, honor and commitment. If it is a marriage built on love you get all that and more. I love being married to my partner and friend.

I got married because I wanted to spend the rest of my life with my husband. I wanted to take care of him and love him for all time, and get the same respect back from him. It is a partnership that takes two to manage.

most people don't get married because their is material things in it for them. I married my husband because he was the most special loving caring person I ever met and love him like crazy and he is my best friend. Being married means being set apart just for each other to share your lives with each other.

why be married? is this what you mean?
we, women, like to be married because it shows us the man we love that he loves only me and no one else, and he wants to spend the rest of his life with just me.
marriage is a committment of love and trust.
