Another way to put it: If you have a good marriage and you have been together for 10 years but you never really had the chemistry, is it going to keep working in the long run or does the lack of chemistry mean the marriage is doomed?

You will probably have a longer marriage because the excitement will not run out. You won't have the super-highs and super-lows of a marriage with a lot of chemistry. Yours will be based on mutual respect and companionship which is a more stable situation.

If the chemistry wasn't there in the first place, why did you even get married? I believe that if the marriage is a good one, yes it can survive but the survival of the marriage depends largely on two people who hold the same values about marriage so compatibility would only play a small part.

the sparks may not be flying but if the marriage is stable most likely it will go on as it is ... since your the one asking about the chemistry then your not to happy with the way things are ... instead of dooming the marriage why not look for ways to spice it back UP ..

After all there had to have been something there in the first place or you wouldn't have taken that first step eh ?

All the best to you both ........................

Okay I can not really answer this. How can you say you never really had the chemistry after 10 years. You should have had the chemistry when you go married. If not you and she are fools.

I would think that if you are happy without the chemistry. then it could survive. both of you have to work at it.

i would also think that after time one of you will get very frustrated and want the chemistry with someone else.

it can go either way. it depends on the couple and what they are happy with.

Yes with hard work it can. Respect and being faithful are more important than chemistry.

you need chemistry or you won't be happy and you will go to someone else to fulfill that need.
