self esteem and self worth, some over rate them selves some under, - Ti's about the life experience they have had, negative and bullying experiences often lead to low self esteem thus undervaluing what they have to offer and who they are.

I think for a lot of people they feel undervalued by the ones who seem to think they are overvalued, there are a lot of cruel people out there who look down their noses at others for the job they do, the type of house they live in, the clothes they wear, the partner they have and even the type of car they drive, what the hell does it matter were we live or what job we do, we are all individuals with a right of opinion no matter what our status in this world, society has a way of making people feel undervalued.

The undervalued learned this in their childhood, usually--mummy and daddy spent their time belittling, down-talking, ridiculing and saying "you're no good at this, you're stupid, slow etc." Those tapes get stored deep in the brain and it is really hard to stop listening and believing them even when you KNOW it's a lie. Psychology calls it a "conditioned response". You learn to automatically criticize and belittle yourself because everyone around did from day 1.
Others react the other way by breaking their own arms patting themselves on the back so no one will notice how low their self-esteem really is. They have to be the best at everything so they convince themselves that their achievements are bigger than they really are. Trouble is others can see the self-aggrandizement for the pathetic defense mechanism it really is. (I have some friends like this, a couple, and they drive me nuts!)
The key is to learn to be honest with yourself and others, and to accept and embrace who you are. Assertiveness training helps.

Whatever value we place on ourselves depends upon the value placed on us by our Creator (God). It does not matter whether you undervalue or overvalue yourself.
The words of God can not fall on the ground without being fulfiled. His word says, while you where still in your mother's womb, I knew you.

Because we are all different, it would be an even worse state of affairs if we were all the same.
