I'm having sleeping problems for three days. I cannot sleep at night, but at around 6 am, I am so sleepy that I literally faint. But now I sleep all day and sit up all night. Today I didn't sleep at 6am and now I have to keep myself from sleeping until the night. Then I will sleep and my cycle will become normal. Any advices on how to stay awake for 10 hours? Besides coffee... =)

ok, kami has the idea.... I already said that I will sleep at a normal night hour but I'm way too sleepy to wait until night. That is why I'm asking for help on staying awake. I know how I can put this in order. I just need to keep sleep away until it is 10pm or so.
I'll take the cold shower and eating fruits in front of the tv.

Whenever I have had a crap nights sleep and I need to be up and about. I eat plenty of fruit, drink lots of water and try to stay active - for instance I cycle to work. Coffee will give you an instant hit, but it will eventually dehydrate you and you will become even more sleepy.

I dont think this is about keeping awake but rather how to get you to sleep at the right time. Sounds like you have sleeping disorders... Best option is to see a doctor and also check out what you were doing just before your bedtime.

I had gaming friends who played whole night till 4am and sleep till 7am , after which they go to work whole day in a dreamy state.

Instead of trying to fight drowsiness, why don't you take an over the counter sleep aid and go to bed at around 9 PM and get a good night of sleep? Just set your alarm clock (nice and loud) for a reasonable hour in the morning and this will help you get back on a normal schedule.

You need to get into a normal sleep schedule. If you're wanting to stay awake for ten hours, and this is your solution somehow, then keep moving. Or, have some friends over and talk to them for ten hours. That's all I can think of.

Keep your mind engaged. My sugestion is to listen to LOUD music, challange your thinking with a puzzle type game, etc.

Coffee wears off. Eat food. If you're watching your weight or fasting (christianeese for not eating), try drinking something cold - ice cold. That's about all I can come up with. Good luck :)

stay active and keep your blood rushing through your veins, Aslong as your heart is oumping hard there is no way you'll fall asleep. Try going for a long but slow jog.... but whatever you do, don't drink coffee because your sugar and caffeine high will have to comedown soon.

Try to keep yourself active, keep your mind focused. Try watching TV, try to think that it's just a normal day. Video Games, are also helpful.
