It is a perfuming pan in French, or, figuratively, a fragrant smell or a stench. (Cassell's French dictionary.) There is a picture in the Nouveau petit Larousse illustre. It seems to be something you burn perfumes in to for example scent a room, a bit like joss sticks etc.

Had a really nice one on friday night.

Made from haricot beans with lamb, duck, bacon and sausage in it.

Served with a green salad and bread.

Its a style of french casserole with sausage and beans, but every french person/family has their own recipe and they will tell you theirs is the best!!
