Depends by each model.

For small LASER printers (I assume that means SOHO class - Small Office Home Office - monthly volume less than 5,000 prints) the real spanlife of hardware components is less than 100, 000 prints.

for high end professional LASER printers 3,000,000 prints for a monthly volume of 50,000 prints.

Small or big, SOHO or industrial class, the life of a LASER printer depends by internal components and if you doing a proper maintenance.

for color LASER printers the life cycle is much shorter.

The life cycle all depends on the care of the printer. If you have your laser printer regularly maintenanced it could last for well over 1 million pages.
