My comp. got infected by spyware. I used Noadware, which fixed the problem, but now I'm left with a white desktop background. All the previous are still there in Display Background, but wont work when applied. Chosen background flashes on for a second when shutting down only. Can anyone help?

I would suggest uninstalling the program itself. Or do a system rollback if the uninstall doesn't work. I have heard it causes specific programs to not work propertly or even not at all. I don't believe it itself is spyware, but not sure. I would never install it. I suggest you read reviews online. I just went to search for it on google for kicks and came up with not much positive information. In a nutshell everything says it gives a false sense of security and actually found a whole lot of nothing.

I suggest you get AdAware. I use it and have had great success. Between that and Spybot and ZoneAlarm, my computer now stays quite clean.

Email if you have any specific questions. Enjoy helping when I can. thehamburgs@hotmail.com

Right-click on your desktop, select "Properties".

Select the "Desktop" Tab.

Click the "Customise Desktop" button.

Select the "Web" Tab.

UN-check ALL the square boxes and click "OK".
