It honestly has more to do with genetics than gender. Females can have some more related problems due to hormones during the menstral cycle, but true acne is a problem for males and females and is often hereditary.

It is a myth that pimples are caused by sugar or grease consumption--however it will make you put on weight. What causes most pimples/acne are hormones...and there is a genetic component to it. That is why teens are so much more prone to acne, their hormones are way out of whack during puberty.
As far as who is more prone, I have heard that males are more prone than females, but in your case you know more females...perhaps it's because your male friends have yet to go through puberty? Females generally go through puberty first so that may be a reason. Hope this helps some.

men or girls? you mean men or women. anyway, neither. The person who eats the most refined sugar is the one more prone to pimples. Second runner up is the person/people who have clinically oily skin.

i think boys are more prone to pimples.. cause they are more exposed that the girls.. but it depends on how you take good care of your face in exposing to pimples.. thats what i think! God bless..

even i come across mostly girls complaning about pimples... So i guess girls are more prone to pimples.. Simple!...

Acne can be affected by hormonal changes and girls tend to go through this earlier than boys so their problems may start sooner. Also girls use makeup, which can clog pores and make the problem worse.

Woman. cause woman have period and so on... and hormone changes... will be more prone to pimples too.
