Make a list of mistakes he has found and things you have done "to spec". Make sure the latter list is much longer than the first. And be satisfied with the the fact that he must drive his wife and boss crazy, and probably they him.

Something is missing in your question.
As a former employer, I have to know the "cause and effect", in order to respond.
Can you be certain that "errors" do not affect P&L?
Employees often think that ones error/errors are the only error in the company, and cannot see the accumulation of those errors and/or the result of accumulated errors throughout an organization. Those can only be controlled, never eliminated.
Think of the cost of an invoice billing error.
The last statistics I remember, cost of correcting about $30.00.
I've worked for large retailers and know the result of an incorrect invoice and the delays used to avoid timely payment. Can take 30-60 days to resolve.

Take the opportunity to learn from what your boss is finding. Are they grammatical errors? Work on improving your writing skills. Are they errors of omission? Work on being more detailed oriented. It may be that your boss is working to develop you for better things. Take it as an opportunity to improve.
If your boss likes to add their $.02 in to everything you do, take it with a grain a salt. That's just the way they are. You are just not going to change that. But, to save yourself some stress, how about getting in to the habit of submitting "draft" versions for review. That way you may be more open to personal opinion rather than criticism of your final work.

Your boss is more like a control freak. They cant delegate. If you are making a lot of mistakes, he would fire you if you were that incompetent. If it is small stuff, like you are just learning, try not to make mistakes. We all make them. The question is how much do your mistakes affect the outcome of something. Good luck!

This is the main reason why Microsoft implemented a spell checker in MS Word. But even then, we still can't avoid all errors. He neads to back off.

When he comes to you with a mistake that he found ask him if he stayed up all night to find it. Tell him that perfection comes with a price and the price he is paying isn't enough.Even computers make mistakes.NOBODY IS PERFECT.If he doesn't get off your back, make more menial mistakes that should send the message.
