Does Getting Circumcised Hurt

Circumcision has been dropping in the US. It is in the 30% on West coast and still high in the Midwest. I read that NYC has dropped below 50%. This is not immigrants it is more that no one talked about it in the past (they still don't) but now with the internet, information is exchanged without embarrassing people. People are now onto the fact that it changes the dynamics of the penis and removes sources of pleasure for good. The foreskin is not just skin and does not just protect the glans(head). Circumcision is now known to ablate the most sensitive parts of the male genitals. This surgery takes away the main male pleasure zones with over 20000 fine touch and stretch nerve endings amputated. The foreskin has several parts including the ridged band that is great for ones pleasure (that is why nutters like Kellogg wanted to chop em off, to curtail masturbation), Masturbation is important for a mans physical and mental health. The ridged band directly contacts the vagina for very great pleasure all around. The dynamics of sex and the actual mechanism of the penis are drastically changed by circumcision. The foreskin can normally be slipped all the way, or almost all the way, back to the base of the penis, and also slipped forward beyond the glans. This wide range of motion is the mechanism by which the penis and the orgasmic triggers in the foreskin, frenulum, and glans are stimulated The only touch organ possessing as rich erogenous innervation as the foreskin is the clitoris. Circumcision deprives man of 2/3ds of the main erogenous zone constituted of the foreskin and the glans. I think the comments from most of the cut in adulthood men are good. It is a fact that many men so cut defend their decision and like many men the m,ember is great. Also, some men that get cut did have problems so that is not really a valid indication. A Korean study of cut in adulthood showed many reporting many issues.

Let me relate what I know as I was done as an adult. It took several weeks to heal and hurt like hell. Healing was just like any other wound. I prefer my new penis but with caveats that I would suggest you consider before going down that road: 1. Hygiene - sure the op makes it easier but how hard is it to keep clean in the first place? Our penises are conveniently located at arms length, front, and center. Even a one-armed guy can easily manage. Besides, it feels nice to wash. If the only thing keeping a guy from smelling down there is his circumcision, what does that say about the rest of his body? Don't partners get turned off by stinky arm pits, or unwashed anuses too? I'd dare say that a smelly penis should be horrifying to its owner and should compel a guy to jump in a shower ASAP. Circumcised guys may not be so strongly motivated without such a cue. So being circ'd should not lower one's soap bill. 2. Sensitivity - yes, after the snip you lose a lot of nerve endings living on the very sensitive inner foreskin. But there are plenty left residing in the band of skin behind the head and up to the scar. Further, that remaining, formerly inner foreskin is drawn taught with an erection, exposing it to tactile stimulation in a way that a rumpled up foreskin blocks. It's like tickling the palm of your hand when it's opened wide versus when it's relaxed. Even women can try that out. Now this is very important. Many circumcised fellows done as babies wish to reverse it. I never understood this. After joining their ranks, I now do. With a foreskin, I had a desire to be phyically exposed and stimulated down there all the time, even when flaccid. Peeling back the skin helped a bit but not a lot (see my comment about rumpled foreskin above). I believe this is the true motivation for the original circumcision decision. After my circumcision I've often had a desire to turn down the volume. To put it to bed, cosy, and warm under a foreskin without the distraction of constant stimulation from my clothing... Circumcised or not, our penises just don't leave us at peace. 3. Aesthetics and her opinion - that's just conditioning. I remember thinking circumcised penises were freakish when I first saw one as a child. Women I've bedded since the chop would find it fascinating if they had no former experience with a circumcised penis. And the same was true before the chop for women that had no uncircumcised experience. In either case, the novelty would soon wear off for them. I guess it's like breasts. As a youth, the sight of breasts was a big deal. Today, they're just breasts. Finally, I believe circumcision rates have been dropping in the western world but that may well change. The world health organization has taken a pro-circ position after studies in Africa indicated that it helps prevent aids.

Hell yes it hurts!!! I was eighteen when I got circumcised and the stitches hurt a lot. I'm fifty and I remember it like yesterday. I walked around the house in my dads boxers so the underwears cloth wouldn't stick to my bloody penis. They don't bandage the penis, "it made healing easier and faster." I walked around for about a week like a cowboy in dad's boxers, till the sutures fell out on their own. As for the cost I wouldn't know about that but shop around u might find a doctor who will do it for free in some cases for experience. Start with a fee sliding scale clinic at a hospital. They can advice u best.

Yes - it can be done even for adults. It is good and helps you to be healthy without contracting STD/VDRL diseases, to some extent. The pain will be there only while doing it and should be done by a surgeon administrating anesthesia. It should heal up in 2/3 weeks. Only diabetic patients should be careful and the doctor will take necessary precaution and give necessary advise. The cost should not be much as it is a simple procedure but depend of the place you live and the doctor/hospital charges there.
cost depending on the doctor, hospital at. of your area.

First of all, the circumcision itself is not painful under local anesthesia (not general as another poster wrote). It is after a few hours when the drug wears off when you start to feel pain. You penis will swell after a couple of days and should heal after a few weeks. Insurance will not pay for it unless it is medically necessary.

Circumcision is painful at any age. They usually perform circumcision on adults under general anesthesia, but there is pain afterwards. It can take up to 6 weeks to heal completely. There will be stitches. The costs depend on the methods used..whether local or general anesthesia...I cant imagine it without general though. Good Luck!
