What career oppertunities are available for such a person? What about Job oppertunities? What kind of companies should he/she apply in?

While the job options are many, one area that pays well that many statisticians go toward, at least for initial jobs out of school is actuarial sciences. Who hires actuaries? Insurance companies. Good luck to you.

www.usajobs.gov is the federal website. With your education, you might be able to start at a GS-9 position.
Don't rely too heavily on internet job boards - you'll see they are full of sales jobs & business opportunities - if you don't want to go with gov't jobs - seek out the gov't contractor companies...
