I'm 6 weekes pregnant (now entering my 7th week) and get headaches sometimes. Its not very frequent but when I do get it I feel really nauseaous (I feel nauseous even without the headaches) and find it difficult to carry on in my job and it decreases by productivity level. I try to put up with it as much as possibIe to avoid taking medication especially at this stage but if they still don't go away is it alright to take pain killers. Someone once told me that its more harmful for me to suffer through pain than actually take a painkiller (over the counter types) I don't want to take a risk with my baby's safety. can anyone please help me?

My doctor told me that Tylenol is the only safe thing to take.. he told me you can take it every 4 hrs if necessary for pain.. however I'm 37 weeks.. but I would talk to your doctor.. they will be able to tell you what's best for you... good luck!

I have the same thing, im 10 1/2 weeks. You can take one extra strength tylonel, or two regular strength tylonel every 4 hours. Try taking some and having a lay down it helped me. As for nausea I hope it gets better for you, it sucks I know. Usually in the sencond trimester things do get better, they say its the best trimester because you are more comfortable then the first or the third.

Very good luck hun!

Oh yes I had so many headaches... funny I forgot that symptom until you said that. You can take non asprin, like tylonol the doctor said it was more than OK, but just in case of a different medical history, I would call and ask your doctor anyway. They can get pretty nasty and there is no need to feel that pain !

Haven't you heard! Everything hurts when you are pregnant. You will get those few moments of sunshine during your second trimester then it's back to feeling like hell again and the only thing you can take are those damn weak *** tylenols! Excuse my french.
