they both hurt, but to me the actual act of touching someone else in such an intimate way is worse. Because two people who have promised to be faithful to each otehr.
An emotional affair, is when your partner is emotional support for someone who isn't you. They take time to listen to this person and let that person be dependent on them. The signs are....phone calls, where your partner walks outside to talk and explains that this person has some big problems.
Also the person being cheated on feels that the emotional part of the relationship is being used up on somone else. Feeling ignored when your partner chooses to go to work early or work late to give this other person support. It sucks

One is as bad as the other. They both destroy the trust in a marriage. Emotional affairs lead to physical affairs and sexual affairs can quickly turn into emotional affairs. There is no better way to ruin a marriage by having either one. They go hand in hand.

I think that an emotional affair is far worse because physically you are not tied to that person - you can have sex with someone without being consumed by them. To be emotionally involved with someone seems the ultimate act of betrayal - you are giving away your love, your mind and perhaps your soul if you connect with them emotionally. Whereas, the physical is just the body - the body dies but the being that you share emotionally lives on. It seems that you have given so much more than what you ever could physically.

They both have faults .. but I would go with emotional.
Physical can be more of a act of weakness ... sometimes there is no emotion involved at all.
Emotional however can really destroy a marriage because of true feelings involved. To me, its so much more intimate. How would it make you feel to have someone take the person you love heart at that time.

let me make a example
if you sleep with a hooker,you do it, its over both walk away,
but emotions is far deeper than anything else in this world,it is something that you cannot control.emotionally it lead you to physical
so i think emotional affair

Well that would depend on who either one makes you feel...but to me cheating emotional or physical is still robbing your relationship of it's full potential...so I'd say both.
