I am tall and thin and feel because of this that other women stare me down or take their insecurities out on me. I was walking with a plump and older friend of mine, when this woman glared at us. She asked me if I saw how that woman just stared at us. After asking her, she said that women rarely stare at her like that. I told her this is the norm for me and she should walk with me and count how many times they stare. She laughed.

Yes, they are jealous and petty. It makes them feel bad that you are so attractive because they feel inferior and less attractive in comparison. It is the reason that I've had few female friends. The good female friends I have are either also really pretty or have sufficiently high self-esteem that they don't worry about what other people think and don't get jealous. I don't let it bother me, in fact I look at it as a compliment. They don't mean it that way, of course, but that doesn't change the fact that they are jealous because they think you're hot.

I am called attractive by my friends, but when I am being stared at (by other women), I always think there's something wrong with me, like my hair is screwed up or something! Or else I wonder if the other woman is a lesbian, lol! I don't feel this way if men are staring though...

Yeah, it's true. Women feel REALLY insecure about themselves when they're around other people who they consider to be beautiful. As long as you're sure not to get a big head, really those women just need to cool down and realize they're beautiful too! Just in their own way...I think a lot of women forget that frequently and get so catty when other females are around. Good luck with all that stuff...the world of women is so crazy.

that's the identical for the two genders. there's a social stigma for adult adult males looking different adult adult males good looking, or with the flexibility to tell which adult adult males are captivating or not, via fact of an apprehension "oh God, i will not remark on his visual attraction, that's gay". actually, social stigma and homophobia aside, you may not tell me that as a guy you do not see Brad Pitt as greater captivating than Chris Farley? So think of logically, is spotting someones attractiveness in spite of gender or sexual preferrence all that unusual?

I'm not a woman, but my wife gets those stares all the time, usually from black or hispanic women. She herself is hispanic and I'm black so go figure. I didn't experience the jealously of other women toward women until I met her and saw how other women react towards her. So trivial.

Im not trying to be vain or anything because to be honest, being attractive on the outside is nothing compared to the beauty inside of you! Girls do that but you must remember that they might not look at you like that because you are prettier than them! Dont think too much of yourself because bad looks are not only because you are better than them. Maybe they can see that you are vain and think the world of yourself, so maybe that annoys them.

If they do I don't notice. I mean, in the long run, who really gives a crap? The only person who's opinion I care about is my husband's, and he wouldn't change me for the world.

Yup I get that a lot. Its female instinct, we are a threat to the fatter and uglier woman out there, they feel threatened and think their mate will prefer to be with a more supreme specimen.

We're all animals afterall.

Don't take it personally, I give the ugly moo's my best smile and get on with my day!

Maybe they are just looking at you wondering why you are looking and staring at them.
