I recommend going to visit gp and telling them about this they can prescribe you medication and or counselling to help with this you may need to go and see a sleep therapist so they can help you to break this cycle your body as got used to. Try having a warm lavender bath prior to going to bed make your bedroom a warm and comfortable place just to sleep in.Do not have a tv in your room as this will disturb your sleep pattern.Stay away from caffeine drinks prior to going to bed as these are only stimulants and also stay away from alcohol as this will disrupt your sleep also. Try drinking a warm milk drink before going to bed. If you find yourself wide awake get out of bed do not try just lying there tossing and turning. A counsellor will help you to talk through any problems you may have that are worrying you and maybe preventing you from getting a restful nights sleep. Good luck!

Get some B complex in the vitamin section of your local grocery store. Take one when you go to bed.
This really works for a lot of people, including me.
