I bet you're gutted if you've got to work.
If you're like me, do you feel smug knowing that others have to suffer?

Isn't Veronica W possilby the dullest person on YA?
She always pitches up on my Q's with yet another nugget of wisdom.
She really needs to get laid.
It ain 't gonna be me though.
Any takers?

Yes it is a Bank Holiday for me as well
I also been retired for over nine years so maybe I am more smug than you .
All I am doing at the moment is answering questions here
Some interesting /some just silly and some quite amusing ones
I really hope you enjoy getting drunk and eating your curry .
But are you working tomorrow.?

Yes, it's a Bank Holiday in rainy Manchester too. Might well order a curry and get drunk tomorrow or the day after. What's another Bank Holiday when you've had the last six weeks off work, like me? Now that's smug.

You've had the weekend off too!!
I fell over at the beach yesterday and am sore in places I don't care to mention.
Consequently I'm going to hit the beer and codeine. But later.
In the meantiime I'm going to get dressed and put the kettle on.
Will be roasting a duck later. (don't go there! Your mind is working overtime..)
It's prescription codeine!! Very considerate surgeon. Or are you on about the duck, hahaha.
It was Lyme Regis. Recent foot surgery means I have an awkward gait at the moment. The right side of the beach area is very rocky and I was trying to catch crabs. The sort that live in rock pools...! Silly bint that I am.
Via edit: Aww, sweetie, you're going to get suspended again. Please don't go again. Life on here is so dull without you. Now I'm going to get another violation for chatting..........

I'm avoiding any housework, ironing etc. Its a Bank Holiday so technically its a day off. That my excuse, I'm sticking to it.
How can you hurt yourself falling over on a beach? Unless it was the famous Beach Of Sharp Upward Pointing Rocks and Glass?

I am working today and any bank or other holiday, but I've got a great job, excellent pay and I only have to work 4 days a week. So I get to be smug once a week all year long - you have your fun while it lasts ;o)

Order the curry first otherwise you might slur your words and order a slurry . Enjoy ! Of course if you do it the other way around you might be glad rather than smug that those nice folks in the A&E are not as drunk as you when thay pump your stomach . That is if your own vomit does not drown you first. As I say....enjoy !!!

You lucky, lucky bastard. I'm into hour 12 of my 14 hour shift. I have then to get home and get back to work within 8 hours.
I dream of curries and beer, with a good film on the box.

A bank holiday? That explains a lot.
I'm at work as I type. Well not actually doing any work, but I am sitting in front of my computer trying to look busy.

Looks like I'm playing on this. I've been left at home in disgrace for binning yesterday's roast before anyone had a chance to eat.
