Instead of being singular points, all particles have a one dimensional line formed into a loop. This makes the math a lot more friendly than infintesimal points. Different particles are these one dimensonal loops vibrating in different modes.

the superstring theory deals with the idea that whenever you are faced with a decision. all outcomes become possible and do happen in another universe. check out "what the bleep do you know down the rabbit hole". i watched this and found it very enlightening... so much so that i bought the 3-disc set

I believe that string theory sates that instead of subatomic particles things at the subatomic level are bits of vibrating energy that exist in several dimensions.

IT is impossble to put it in layman's terms. It is extremely complex. I am a layman and I don't have a clue what it is about after reading 2 papers explaining it
