It is not recognized as a statatory bank holiday, but there is no mail today and most businesses are closed.

It's a shame that Colorado is a prick. I thought Yahoo Answers was supposed to be used to for supportive comments and answers. And yes, I've been to the bank and it's closed. But that doesn't mean it's a a bank holiday.

yes, NI, Wales, Scotland and England. The Republic of Ireland had theirs on the First Monday of Aug. Hope this helps

Get off you butt, go outside and walk to the bank. If it is closed, it could mean your money is lost to you forever or they just don't want you inside.
