Tell them to give you laughing gas . You will laugh all the way thru it . They'll give you some darvasets or loratabs (bad spelling) for the pain afterwards . You'll be fine .

I've had many teeth pulled. I had my wisdom teeth all taken out at the same time back in '86.
Just make sure you have someone giving you a ride home and staying to care for you.
It won't be as bad as many think, especially with good meds.
I wish I was there. I'd hold your hand and take good care of you afterwards.

I always ask for sedation. That is something you have to ask for a few days in advance. Can you reschedule and afford that? I have had 4 teeth pulled in the last year and it was a breeze. Recovery time is minimal. I stayed home from work the day I got it done and that was it. The pain was minimal. I'm sure you'll do just fine. Best of luck to you!

If they use enough Novocaine and inject it into the right place... You won't feel a thing. I HATE the dentist. But, have never really had a bad experience.

I did have 1 experience where I got 3 or 4 Novocaine shots that didn't have much effect. It's up to you to tell the dentist if you think a shot isn't working. You should feel VERY numb in the lip and face... Not just "tingly".

The normal procedure doesn't hurt when they do it because you're all numbed up. After that wears off, it may hurt, but I've had a few pulled in my life and never thought it was that bad. You just take aspirin, advil (ibuprofen) or Tylenol.

I have only had my wisdom teeth pulled. It is not that bad while it is happening. I had to go back and get restitched after eating something which was stupid on my part. I was able to go back to work right after and did not have to fill the prescription he gave me. Good luck.

Its not that bad when they give you something to deaden the nerves in the mouth..the thing that hurts the most is the shot that freezes the nerves but that doens't last but a second.
