I put all of my music collection in my itunes library & transferred it to my ipod. I then deleted the music from my itunes library. I now want to transfer my music back from my ipod into my itunes library (the reverse action). I can't seem to do it? Is it possible?

It is possible. Try using the instructions in this CNET article: "How to get songs off of your Windows iPod"

Transfering music back from your ipod to your computer is not a function available in itunes. This is the major flaw with the apple ipod. However there are various ipod utilities made by other companies which can do this job. Unfortunately i dont think there are any free ones. If you search about the utility download sites you may find one.

When you connect your ipod to the pc, and the itunes program pops up. UP in the top there should be something like tools or something that allows you to transfer the tunes from your ipod back to the pc.

As far as I know, that if the itunes library is blank on your computer, when you connect it to your computer the ipod will be updated then there will be no music on the iPod.. as far as I knew.

No, you cannot get your music library to copy your ipod, your ipod will always copy your music library.
What you see on your computer screen is what will be on your ipod, thats it.
