Yes, they do. Which is why they are not the superior fighting force that the all male SEALS are. I have met women who are capable of physically handling what SF go through, but it is very rare. The field conditions as well as mental stresses are not built for females. One example, a SF sniper sitting on a hill for 3 days has to urinate on himself bc if he moved to urinate, he may be detected, but the worst that will come for him is a warm wetness and a bit of stench. A women may actually get an infection if she doesn't wipe after she urinates. That is just one small example of why it is just not plausible for women to be SF. Although some women are just as capable and maybe more capable, than some men, in the end, the female body is not made for it. It's not discrimination, its realism.

You cannot call it discrimination. It is rightfully called regulations.

The same reason women are not ALLOWED to serve on submarines. It is not discrimination, it is regulations.

If you get your undies in a bunch this easy, you will never make it far in the military, trust me.

The service is all about yes sir and no sir...whether or not it is three bags full.

Oh, yeah, reasons: women are not allowed to serve in units that see direct combat duty. Some women are exposed to areas of conflict, such as Iraq, but that is not considered a hostile environment now (although it should be).

Since special forces are by design combat oriented, women would not partake in that activity.

As a former Navy SEAL I can assure you that we would let any woman join us, any woman who could take one of us out, that is. And that, my dear, will never happen. Women are genetically and physically inferior. The special forces are for men. Stick to desk work or working on base.

Requirments to be a member of the SAS: http://www.army.mod.uk/uksf/index.htm

It is a good think women are not allowed to be Navy Seals just like it is a good thing women play in the NFL - there are just some physical realities that can't be overcome.

The MOD and the Armed Forces are committed to expanding career opportunities for women. In 1998 the number of posts open to women in the Army increased from 47% to 70%. 73% of posts in the Naval Service and 96% of posts in the RAF are open to women. Certain front line posts are still closed to women on grounds of combat effectiveness, but women serve in combat roles both at sea and in the air. Women currently represent 7.9% of the total strength of the Armed Forces.

its not that the seals discriminate, its that they are realists. how man girls do you know can hold a 55lb log on thier shoulds are run with it and do squats? the hand to hand combat is nuts too. unless she is a big girl, there is no way the average size woman is going to destroy a 6ft 210lb man. these men arent normal, they are war machines. if a girl wants to try, that is great, but it is physically impossible.

yes. i would like to say that the sas are not 6ft 6inch burly men. they are average men who have a high fitness and stamina level.
arnold schwartzeneger types tend to stick out like a sore thumb and lack the agility needed.
