The models or actresses are beautiful and not anorexic and that is why they are getting paid big bucks to be on the magazine cover. There is too much gross neglect by women in this country with their physical appearance. If I were a man, I would be disgusted by the way some of these women have let themselves go. You just seem jealous and unhappy to me. Why can't you just say the woman is attractive? I feel annoyed that there is so much body neglect in this country and we all seem to be worried about a few healthy models on the cover of a magazine. If you look at the standard citizen you should understand that anorexia is not the problem with America, but rather obesity or general neglect is.

The media send out alot of mixed messages to celebrities these days. Stars that are skinny get slagged off because they are so skinny but stars that are a healthy body weight get slammed becuse they are 'fat'... It must be very hard for them getting watched all the time and having the media watching every move they make. As far as the kids, they learn what they see so it is up to family and friends to support kids and let them know that they are beautiful the way they are

i think have the time these celebrities especially victoria beckham do it for the publicity and she would do anything for the attention and people like and the rest them don't care that kids think that is ok to look like what needs to happen is the magazines need to stop putting this scary anorexic celebs in the magazine id rather see somebody with a bit meat on them than a really skinny tart like victoria beckham

As long as people keep buying the trash mags at the supermarket checkout then they will still keep putting skinny celebs on the front page. Personally I think it is disgusting, and hypocritical of the mags to because in one week they are complaining that a celeb is too skinny and the next week they complain that a celeb gained 20 pounds. What are our kids supposed to think.

I don't agree.Look at Karen Carpenter. She died of a heart attack due to Anorexia before doctor's really knew the gravity of the illness.Back when celebs were more respected by the reporters. You have to understand that eating disorders are a pyshcological illness.Even if they get the illness under control,it's something they will deal with the rest of their life.

I agree with U. Sometimes beautiful is not so beautiful as it seems. Besides magazines use photoshop and make celebrities better than a real human can B.

This worst of all is the mixed messages that magazines such as cosmo and glamour send. They have articles about embracing your beautiful body and how thin is no longer in. Turn the page though and they have anorexic fashion models. I thought you just said rail thin was no longer in?

In part, I agree with you, but I also think that showing their ultrathin unhealthy bodies is a good way to let people know that there is a point where thin is ugly. I hope that young people will see how gross people like Lindsay and Nicole look and learn to love their bodies the way they are, NORMAL!
