A lot of people are experiencing problems with Talk Talk in was on BBC Breakfast every day last week.

Seemingly once they set you up and have all the equipmen etc it is still difficult to log on and disconnections are frequent.

I too use BT broadband, have done for 2 years now and have never had any problems with them.

i had the same problem myself. I kept phoning up talk talk and they eventually said that it would arrive within 5 working days. After 6 days and still arriving I phoned them again and they said that they had forgotten to send it out. But will send it and should receive it within 5 working days. It arrived 3 weeks later.

Yes you do sometimes loose the connection and it doesnt run at 8meg. It actually runs at 2.2meg. You also have toconnect it by usb. But apart from that. It was well worth it. I have recommended some of my friends and a couple have just started to make the switch.

Haven't had the same problem but the answer is simple.

Cancel Talk Talk if they fail to deliver within 7 days. Tell them you are doing this and you consider the agreement void.

Then come on here and ask which services are really free and work and switch to another supplier.

i'm somewhat finding forward to this Ashes sequence and actual have not thoroughly written the Aussies off. in spite of this England could circulate into the sequence as overwhelming favourites using modern-day variety and the reality that the sequence is being performed in England. I reckon Chris Rogers could be basically somewhat a depressing horse as he's conscious the situations over here rather lots. sturdy to be certain some friendly banter flying around between the two contraptions of supporters too!

Having read the various comments and replies I can only say that THE CARPHONE WAREHOUSE SERVICE IS NON EXISTENT. I signed up to talk talk in March and given a connection date of July. At end of July tried to contact regarding non delivery of modem and installation cd. My telephone line was adapted to talk talk with my existing ISP being disconnected on July 21st. By Mid august I still had no modem etc. despite calling every day and being held in queues for hours and eventually being passed from one agent to another, none of who'm seemed to know what they were talking about. Eventually after 3 weeks without internet service the modem arrived but the SIMPLY INSERT AND GO did not materialise and had to call on expert advisor to get connected. I sent a recorded delivery letter to the CUSTOMER SERVICE DIRECTOR informing him of his abysmal service to which he did even have the courtesy to reply and simply had a reply sent from " talktalk correspondence. " I deeply regret getting involved with this totally useless company and intend to revert to my original ISP on completion of the contract.

SNAP!!! We waited like yourself (not as long) our connection date was for July and we received the modem and installation disc in August.
We kept ringing Talk Talk nearly ever day and spent hours in ques, we were told many different answers.. item was in the post, item was sent to wrong address, item had not yet been proceeded etc... We even went to our local car-phone warehouse shop and kicked up ****..
We told them we would cancel and was told we would have to pay for a disconnect fee!!!

The modem eventually arrived 2 weeks ago... and guess what..
Talk Talk is crap we wished we never changed from AOL..

Good luck.

My mum is still waiting for it too. I think it's something to do with so many people joining up at once and there's a backlog or something. I spoke to someone from talk talk the other week cos we were gonna change but they told us we'd have to wait till october so we went for BT instead.

A friend of mine signed up with talktalk a while ago,I was tempted but I thought I would seek some advice on here before I commited myself. The answers I received convinced me that I should stay with BT.

I swtiched to Talktalk in June, they said I would be on broadband by the end of August but actually connected me in July.

Sorry, I have not had any problems with them at all.

loads of people have had the same problem

Talk Talk just cannot handle the amount of orders they recieved.

Give it 1 more week but tell Talk Talk - give them a 7 day ultimatum if they havent provided their service by this time next week then you consider the contract null and void...
