Hi
I am having a serious problem. You might have heard about the flood in Gujarat, India. I live there and my office got flodded. My PC was full in water. After the flood was over I removed my harddisk and connected it to my home PC, but nothing is coming. During booting it shows the extra drive but it does not show in "My Computer". I need my data, can anyone tell me what to do. I know that there is something wrong in the circuit on the harddisk. Is there anyway out.?

Please Help !!!

You Have some Solution you Might Need to Try Them

1-Try to get someones hard driver and plug to your computer if it works that is mean u have problem with Your Hard driver
if it did not work that is mean you have problems with Your PC Motherboard

2-You Can Plug Your Office's Hard driver with Your Home Hard driver as slave and Then it should works

3-If None of This Works ,,, You need to contact the closes computer shop and tell them you need to change the Hard's Board,,,and that is going to save your Data and Get Your PC To work again

During booting if it is showing the extra drive then it means that the drive is being recognized. Try norton utilities in dos mode and run norton disk doctor and it will throw some light on the fate of the hard disk.

My only guess would be to try quick formating it with disk management (in control pannel, administrative tools). Once the computer can access the drive, try using an undelete utility that can pull files through multiple layers of formatting.

Best of luck, and sorry about the luck you've had thus far...

The only chance you might have now is to give your hard drive to a company that specialize in recovering data from failed drives because windows can not recognize a failed drive because of the NTFS System.

if the jumper on the is set to master change to slave if it is still not found then revove jumper the drive has to have been formated using the same operating system as the one you have now if not you need to install the same operating system on the computer you are going to use the drive on the drive will then work

The pc can found it on the start beacause you have the wires. You need a new hard drive. Also, you can't bring back your files.
