the answer you get is going to be based off who you ask. its like asking whats better pepsi or coke. a navy seals is going to say seal, a marine from first recon will say recon. but really every "special forces" orginization uses pretty much the same types of training and have the same high standards of recruiting. really the only difference is their specializations. such as navy seals specialize in water insertions. while say army rangers would probably do air. marine recon would come from the water in advance of a larger marine task force. each have their own primary role at which they are better suited then their sister orginzation. whos better would really come down to whos luckier...

Seals is an acronymn for Sea, Air, and Land. So yes, it probably is the most sophisticated special forces unit in the world. These days, Seals also have to be schooled in diplomacy, and speak multiple languages.

No, its not. The US Air Force has an even more advanced special force called the PJ's for Para-Jumper's. They are a much smaller and more elite unit that is even harder to get in. If you've never heard of them, its because there that good at what they do. The only reason I know of them is because my college buddy was a member.

Isreal's special ops group Mossad (think its spelled right) is heralded as the best world wide. However every nation boast theirs is the best, most train with Mossad.

Actually, the most elite force is actually the Australian SAS. (Special Air Services)
Not going on anything but entry requirements here. :)
Strong, smart, and very, very accurate with many weapons.
Don't get themselves killed as often as the other nations peoples.
Don't worry, people from other nations, you just chose larger and less elite forces.
