What would you do?

Question

Well the story goes like this.
A good friend of mine was being harassed by a bloke who had just moved to our village, hes from a differnt country.
He was trying to lirft her off her chair when her myself and friends(male & female) all went out for drinks, for the rest of the nite he was hasselin her. so friends and myself where trying to stay between them so he couldnt get near her.
This was happening almost everyday that he saw her in the street and he would say stuff to her in his langue which only she would understand because her last 2 boyfriends where from the same country as him.
I was talking with her about this and she was really upset, in tears even to the point of speaking with her uncle who is a head poice officer in order for him to do something , which he was unable to do.
I went to piont of one nite just haveing enough of seeing her so upset and this pig getting away with it went up to and asked if he could just leave her alone, shes not interested blah blah blah.

this all nearly got to the point of fighting it was really bad.
then what does she go and do!
well this pig is now her boyfriend and shes now sayig that the bloke that was harassing her was someone else and not him.
Shes quite happy with the fact that the only reason why hes here is because hes on the run from the police from his country for heavy drinking and beating people up cause he cant control his drink.
Also we had found out that the only reason why he is with her is for a bet and we told her cause i would want to know, ok we got our facts strate before hand cause things like that hurt and thats the last thing we want to do.
Now she brings him into the bar where our friend wrks and she knowing full well that we are not happy with the situation is sitting there all nite without saying hi or anything with her b/f the piggy making out with her cousin sitting there like lemon and every now and then she will laugh at our jokes and such like.
The next day she comes and sees us

and when we tell her how we feal she getts up and leaves and excuses us of calling her a tart.
All i want to know is what would you do I have only given you a very short version of the story and thankyou for you time cause i really dont kow what i can do.
I wont except him cause you just do not treat women like that but when the woman goes for it then well i know even less.
just please your opinions would really help

Try to talk to your friend in private, like a really close friend who cares. Ask her why she is going out with this guy? Listen carefully and don't judge beforehand. Surely it must be a reason for her behavior. Try to understand her, if you were in similar situation what would you do? Ask your friends if she needs help with anything. If she wants to be with this man it will be her decision and the best you can do is to accept it. You don't need to like him or talk to him, just be for your friend when she realizes what a mistake she made. We all make mistakes and this is how we learn. Good luck to you both.

Get an order of protection. Find a place that helps fight violence against women and see if they can help her get it done if the head police officer can't. They may be able to get somewhere with the order process and when she goes in front of the judge be honest in saying that she feels scared and threatened. Best of luck. If language is a barrier, see if you can find a translator so her plight can be fully understood.

Tell him she is not interested because she is you girlfriend. Lesbian girlfriend that is. And tell him it was ignorant sexist dork guys like him that made her switch to women. Or tell him she has a disease that she would just love to give to him but her religion prevents her from doing so.

if he's harrassing her after you have asked him to stop, this can be classified as verbal abuse, possibly even stalking. Get ur friend to get a restraining order against him if he is really harrassing her.
