If you are using Windows XP, do the following steps:
1) right ckick on the desktop and choose "Properties" from the popup list.
2) go to "Desktop" tab.
3) click "Cusomize Desktop" button.
4) under "desktop icons" check next to "Internet explorer".
And you will have the Internet explorer icon on your desktop always.

You can go Start>My Computer>Local Disk>Program Files>Internet Explorer.If don't found it put the Windows XP cd and go Start>Control Panel>Add or Remove Programs>Add/Remove Windows Components here check the Internet Explorer box
But i would recommend you to use Firefox http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/

I assume that you are using Windows XP. Try this...
right click on your desktop, select properties. Now select the desktop tab and click on the Customize Desktop button.at the bottom. Now check mark Internet Explorer and click on Ok. You wil lreturn to the previous window. Click on Apply and IE should appear.

that happened to me to,someone deleted my short cut
go to search from the start menu, and search internet explorer
I made a shortcut from the page that I opened there, but it dosen't look the same,
I think you might be able to reinstall it from the disks you got with you pc

re install your internet connection I think either by dial up or broadband with the disc, take your time and it will come up with INTERNET EXPLORER' or other words to that effect.

You wouldn't want to be using I.E. anyway. So they actually did you a favor, I would suggest a much safer Browser. Firefox, Maxthon, Netscape etc.
