Fatherhood is not easy but it is very rewarding! It is one of the hardest things that you will ever do. Put your WHOLE heart into it because I promise you will get more then that in return!
Just remember a baby is not an object it is a human. So raise him/her with honesty and diginty.

I hate to say it, but sometimes & mostly yes as most of the time the mother stays home and the father works, so she keeps the baby entertained for 9 hours, changes diapers, takes them to appointments etc. Dad gets home after a tough day at work and the baby/child is washed ,cleaned ,fed and in a great happy mood to see dad. If they are not all these things, more than likely after dinner with the family, mommy will wisk them away and prepare them for bed. Mom looks like a wreck and dad probably wonders why mommy doesn't look like the sexy woman he married.
On weekends, dad feels he needs time to himself cause of his tough week so mommy gets stuck doing it all again.
You know what, Fatherhood is a breeze....

Parenting is never easy...but it is one of the most rewarding and difficult things anyone can do. The dedication it takes to be an effective parent can be overwhelming, also maintaining your relationship with your partner can become very difficult to maintain. May I suggest that you make it a priority to take your partner out and have some "alone time", keep the lines of communication open.
A friend told me once when my son was only a few weeks old is "The best gift a father can give his child, is to love their mother"
Good luck and congratulations!!

Hell no.
You bust your azzes on a job you hate with a boss who hates you, in order to have a place to live, heat it, cool it, feed the family, pay medical and other bills, and then your are expected to come home and be a good daddy and hubby too, while mom whines about her day and your inattention to her, and how you are not sensitive to her needs, and how you never listen, and how you don't make enough money.
And you guys are not apprecitated as much as mom.
(am I scaring you yet?)
But it's worth it
