In order to be truly strong you have to be truly vulnerable...
It seems that you have put walls up around yourself to guard against being hurt....
I really like having loved and lost than never having loved at all...
True love is not about being clingy, needy, weak or needing a security blanket.
I would love to get married again someday if it happens (not something I'm looking for again right now). That person becomes your best friend, your confidant, your lover, and the person you want to share your life with...It's a beautiful thing...
I hope you find someone someday that lights that spark within you, and lets you know its okay to lower our defenses, and truly experience life...

I am single and happy. Because I learned that my happiness comes from inside of me. I would rather be a "we" than "me"
It is a human drive to want to partner with someone of the opposite sex.
I would try it again, but would be very sure to not make mistakes.

Honestly I am happy, lonely and unsure of myself most of the time these days, but would I marry to rid myself of loneliness? Why do people think that it is all or nothing? I am happy around people or by myself, if I am not I find something to make me happy it is something that is inside of you.

I am. I've been happily divorced since 1992. I don't want another loser in my life. I like being my own boss, having my own money, and being able to come and go as I please without having to answer to anyone.
