Will I face any problem if I have two Antivirus softwares in my PC?
I have just downloaded Avast from the net because everyone says Norton (I have got it too) is rubbish.

I don't think you are stupid, so quit listening the the as*holes that say that. They know little or nothing and are probably just repeating what the read from some other IDIOT.

Norton is an EXCELLENT program. You don't win the contract to provide the computer security to the entire Federal Government by being a bad program. The Government tested all the Major companies and the independents. Norton beat all of them. That should tell you something. If it doesn't, then you are STUPID.

Remove the AVAST from your computer and continue to use the Norton.

If you use your head and stop downloading all that crap form peer to peer file sharing sites you wont have a problem in the first place! Where do you think viruses come from? Dont assume your virus protection will stop all viruses! Even the best software wont do this! Viruses are made or modified on a daily basis! You apparently didnt understand my answer, I never said you downloaded it from a p2p network! I AM saying if you stopped downloading other files such as mp3s from p2p sites, you would greatly reduce the odds of picking up a virus! In other words....
THE BEST VIRUS PROTECTION YOU CAN GET COMES FROM USING YOUR HEAD!

Having 2 anti virus programs is the worst. Norton is horrible as an a/v program, Norton, Mcafee are terrible. Lots of problems with them both, at times they block access to the Internet entirely. They also slow your computer dramatically, i.e. slow bootup. As stated, when you have 2 a/v programs, they usually conflict with one another.
