The people, the place, South Africa in general?

The people are very, very friendly, beautiful accents and eager to share their culture with you.
The place has some of the finest wines for a few bucks, exquisite scenery and outstanding flowers--a great place for photographers.
However they are not so vegan friendly. My ex-GF ordered pasta with marinara sauce and received rice with ketchup. An interesting take on the staple, but not her cup of tea.

Some things that come to mind: It's a very dangerous place, the people have nice accents, there is a lot of racism, pretty beaches...somewhere i'd find a bit too scary to go to really.

Its a lekker place to live, yes there is crime etc, but is also a beautiful place where the people are friendly and we have great culture.
Ps: Rawrkit, there used to be alot of racism before but now we all get along with eachother....aparthied is over.

I do not know what the general thinks but I dare say I quite like it. I also like Italy, England, Egypt, USA etc. However I hate France, Japan and French Canada.

Not a particularly attractive city. Has a dire reputation as a dangerous city to be in, as so many tourists (as well as locals) have had bad experiences like being shot at, mugged or even worse.
