to retrieve the show hidden files option in view<folder options<view<fies and folders?

i want to retirve the show hidden files option in view toolbar, it was disable or unchecked in the registry editor by my brother,, who is a hardware and networking student..
how i can get that option visible...

You know where to go and do it. Just activate the hidden files. Dot "Do not Show Hidden Files and Folders". Then make sure the next two items have check marks in their boxes. This will hide them again.

I agree with Djiv's answer. that might unhide all the folder in yuor system. and if yuo change the case to Zero instead of 1 it will Hide the folders.
u can also do it from control Panel. > tools>> folder option..>> View>> green dot on SHOW HIDEN FILE and FOLDER
than Uncheck the box "hide extensions for known file type"
than UNCHECK the box "Hide Protected Operating Systems Files"
there is a RESTORE DEFAULT botton if yu messed up this process. dont worry it is everything safe.

so u can Hiden and Unhide files in the computer.

click the start button and click run in the run dialog box type regedit (small letters). now on the window opened left side there will be keys click the HKEY_CURRENT_USER now in that go down, click software, go down for microsoft, go down for windows, click on windows and go for current version, in the current version click and go for policies then go for explorer, this is the key we want now click on the explorer. on the right side of the window click right mouse button and select new -> DWord Value. name it as NoFolderOptions (important) then click on empty space double click the new key and type 1 and ok . restart the computer. if it works you r going to give me 10 points.
