Drew is correct, you need to be able to create approximately 300foot lbs. of torque to get a pinion bearing to seat properly. As far as the other bearings it is definitely better to have them done professionally so everything works right. Besides if a shop does it and something isn't right then they have to fix it again.

Dude, the only bearings you will be able to change are the axle bearings, and they will have to be pressed off and on after the axles are removed from the housing. Do NOT attempt to change diff. bearings! They have to be set-up by an experienced mechanic with the proper gauges and tools. You will be money ahead by locating a good, honest (ha!) mechanic and pay him to do the work.

Go to a professional mechanic for the job. Changing bearings needs a jack and a hydraulic press plus expertise. Don't attempt doing something you're not technically capable of doing.

ur in over ur head. u need speciel measuring devices to set the correct gear clearence and bearing preload an a hydrlic press to remove/install the bearings.
take it to a pro

ur jumping in over ur head u need to follow specs 4 a job like this theres certin torques and measurements needed to do the job right u can do it but get the rebulid manuaul and be super carefull to follow it step by step or bring it to a pro

The bearings that your refer to can be removed with and hammer and a Punch. Generally this job can be done in about an hour and half with no special tools needed other than common sense and grease elbows... Good Luck..

if yer talking rear bearings have a pro do it. after you finish with hammer and chisel you will take it to someone to fix your fix.
