Has anyone had any experience with Nigerian scammers? Can you please tell me about your experience and if you were able to get your money back that you lost? I would really appreciate any help on this topic that you could give me. I am actually interested in one particular individual that goes by the yahoo messenger ID of George ***** or Morris ***** email being georgefaggy@yahoo.com. Thanks!

Yeah, Nigerians are scumbags. I mess with them. There's an entire community that messes with them online. Its hilarious. Check it out:

www.419eater.com

There's tons of information on the site about the scams and how to handle, report, and/or mess with them.

Also, whatever name they give you is not their real name. These mugus (the term used for a Nigerian scammer) do this all the time. They guys work in gangs and have hundreds of email addresses. The best thing to do is just waste these guys' time so that they can't con other people that don't know any better. Check out the 419eater site for information.

Also, most scammers get your address from you signing a public guest book. Mugus troll guestbooks culling thousands of email addresses. So if you don't want to get scammers emailing you, don't sign guestbooks.

I have been scammed. They did it by being nice and sending me gifts, so I felt obligated to try and help them out. I told the one guy that I did not have money, but sent $50 since it was suppose to be near his birthday. He had some things delivered here he wanted me to ship to him. The shipping cost was over $500 and I was billed by UPS. I told UPS I thought this was to be paid by the person who was getting it, so they canceled the bill. But, I never got the money back that was sent by Western Union.
Now if I get anything that I have not ordered I refuse it and if a UPS driver leaves something when I am not here I call them back to pick it up and return it to the company from where it came.

I get regular email from these people. Usually some bank in some African place I have no connection with wants to send me money.

I just delete them now. If you acknowledge there emails it confirms to them that the email address they sent it to is working. My friend has "almost" been caught by these people. After I knocked some sense into her she is now more aware.

I use to get emails all the time from nigeria. I always deleted them.If you gave that person money, you may as well mark it up as a loss because you arent getting it back.

Best think to do is : NEVER answer their emails. If you have been scammed you need to report it to the INTERPOL.
