If you are trying to concieve, don't worry about counting days. Have intercourse regularly and it will happen.

I would recommend:
First get an Ovulation kit from your local pharmacy which will tell you exactly when you ovulate. ( I was two days wrong!)
Appraently it;'s best to put the sperm there first as they live for 2-3 days in the womb so have sex the day before you ovulate then the day after; leaving a day gap in the middle.

We had a tip from our GP which worked. The sperm are more successful in getting into the egg when they are 2-3 days old. If they are too 'young' they aren't strong enough appraently. So maybe don't have sex for a few days before your pre-ovulation day and then wait another 24 hours. It worked first time from us and before we have been trying every day around ovulation so his poor swimmers were probably weak and knackered!

Good luck - it will happen, probably when you stop thinking about it too much.

Sure, keep trying, one intercourse even at ovulation time gives you about as many chances as sleeping with your husbands t-shirt :)
Good time for conceiving is anything from last day of your period till ---- well if the next one starts twas no good time this time :) I been in one ward with a woman who got preggers of a SINGLE intercourse the day after her period was over. Sperm has the ability of working in your body at least 72 hrs but mind you don't ovulate every month so the more contacts, the more chances!!
GOOD LUCK but don't get too upset if it doesn't work this time. Nature is nature. Sooner or later.

If you ovulated on 26th its best to try a couple of days before and say one after but the sperm can only survive if you have fertile cervical fluid (either v wet or looks like egg white) Good luck.

do it often nearly every day the more u do it the higher the chances are. if in a year no luck then watch yout cycle but sperm can live for up to 48 hours inside u so that count before u ovulate.and couple havin sex once a month took an average of 43 months to conceive, right up to couple havin sex 15 times a month took 3.5 months. also relax and enjoy i know thats hard when u r thinkin every time could be it, but it took me 2 years to get pregnant and now im nearly 15 weeks. so dont give up hope

From memory, you are supposed to have intercourse 10 days from the first day of your period, then every other day for 6 days, worked for me every time, pregnant 5 times!!!!!! Good Luck and have fun, remember it isn't just about baby making.

i would try every other day throughout your cycle as not everyone ovulates on day 14. the only way to know is to do ovulation tests for a month. but by having sex every 2 - 3 days your giving your body a constant "supply" of sperm as sperm survives for 3 days. good luck!

The sperm may lasts for five days, however your ovum only last for up to 24 hr. The best time for conceive is five days until your ovulation day. You can try every day or every other day start from five days prior to your ovulation. Try ovulation test kit or take basal temperature to predict your ovulation.

Your most likely days are 26,27,28...but you should have the possiablity from the 24-29 that is if you have a 28 day cycle and a 14 day Luteal phase.
