My period is three days late so far. I know three days isn't much, but normally I am very regular. There have also been other signs (however small), which might point to pregnancy. Is it still too early to use a HPT? How effective might it be at this stage?

Or you could just go to your doctor and get a blood test and save the hastle of all the BS you're gonna get on here. If you are you are whether you find out today or in a week from now you it's not gonna make a difference. Stop worring about it go to the doctor which you're gonna do anyway when you do the home test. Then you'll be able to get all your questions answered rather than relying on a bunch of strangers.

There are some that are effective enough to use on the day of the missed period. Read the boxes and see, but certainly there's at least one that can detect at that stage.

try the first resonse hpt. it detects the preg hormone the first day after a missed period!
